Coming
from "Larger than Life-size" scale (for which RadhaDa is known for) to
this "Common small things in life size" - is a big study, task and metamorphosis of work pattern shifting is
really remarkable and enjoyable too.
Flow
is there always with his works .. whether it's a story of age-old battery torch
or a hand pulling rickshaw, starting from a kettle or iron for pressing clothes
.... all are substantial and full of flow... flow and stream of emotions and
waves of different yin and yang or dark and bright or fusion of all energies or
complementary actions through the form of Musui and Maiya. The beam of light is
important for the torch with giving full respect to torch itself, as well. ....
and so on .... K S Radhakrishnan is that magician who can swing the time
back few decades with a contemporary subjective sensing ...
Words
about his works from his mouth sound as a prolonged dream, which has just
started, manifestation of sagacity ... Radhakrishnan wants to continue more and
more for the sake of creation only ... Perhaps that's the reason Prof. R. Siva
Kumar has rightly explained 'Once Characters are given birth to, they take a
life of their own and their creators are no more the absolute arbitrators of
their destiny... '.
K S
Radhakrishnan has justified the role of nearly all of the small household things,
starting from a Fan to a Lamp Post, a Lunch Box to a Clip Board .... all are
having a significant role in his life, so 'Candle Light', 'Ephemera', 'Seeing
through the Lens', 'On Wings of Breeze', 'Passenger on the Shoulder', 'Throw
back output-tu', 'Unmeasured Quantum' have taken birth concurrently.
THE
SONG OF small THINGS are really exceptional both physically and spiritually in
BIG magnitude .... The song really has left lots of music for further thought
process of art hungry audience ....

The
pain of loss, and the pain of everyday life - the two faces of the
migrant's human condition - are not suppressed but transformed by hope into the
graceful in Man, into an image of beauty on the distant horizon. In these acts
memories and dreams, looking back and looking beyond become complementary paths
of imagination. - R Siva Kumar
Life
is really simple, but we insist on making it complicated. Simplicity is the
ultimate sophistication. The art of being wise is the art of knowing what to
overlook. Simple can be harder than complex: You have to work hard to get your
thinking clean to make it simple. But it’s worth it in the end because once you
get there, you can move mountains.
K.S.
Radhakrishnan is one of the most notable among the new generation of sculptors
who has successfully brought about a definitive resurgence in Indian sculpture.
Like many of his contemporaries he is a figurative sculptor, but his preference
for modeling and bronze casting over new materials sets him apart from the rest
of them. Recharging age-old sculptural process with a new sensibility, thus is
the singular challenge he brings to modern Indian sculpture. And this makes him
a modernist - who approaches his work with discernable ambition and
considerable aplomb while steering clear of brinkmanship.
With
celebration of sensuality as one of its running themes, his works is at once
both intimate and universal in its appeal. A personal commemorative sculpture,
with a scale and presence that holds well in natural settings, his work has
found permanent home in a number of public collections all over the world.
